Congratulations to...Derrick C. Cooper Jr. is a 2007 United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts. One of only four high school theater students in the nation to receive the honor, Cooper traveled to Washington D.C. where he received a gold medallion from the President and performed several monologues, including 'BLOOD' from Janet S. Tiger's TRANSFUSION at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Congratulations Derrick--we look forward to hearing more good things from you!
The following women used the THE TOWEL LADY to win contests, awards, and admissions: 2021 - Fort Dodge Senior High performers received Division I ratings at State: Gracie Miller — Acting — “The Towel Lady”
Dayne Lathrop performed FINALE for the State TFA competition in Texas - winning 3rd Place (check him out on Youtube) and Reuben Jacobson came in second place in the Dramatic Interpretation section of the local Forensics tournament in Washington, D.C.
