Derrick C. Cooper Jr. is a 2007 United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts. One of only four high school theater students in the nation to receive the honor, Cooper traveled to Washington D.C. where he received a gold medallion from the President and performed several monologues, including 'BLOOD' from Janet S. Tiger's TRANSFUSION at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Congratulations Derrick--we look forward to hearing more good things from you!

  • In 2010, Myah Lisa Martinson's performance won her $500 (above)
  • Maree Cole in Australia was voted one of the Storm the Stage Finalists (2007) 
  • Kendra M. used monologue as her audition piece and was accepted into the presitigious in La Scuola Teatro de Matavo in Italy
Dayne Lathrop performed FINALE for the State TFA competition in Texas - winning 3rd Place (check him out on Youtube) and  Reuben Jacobson came in second place in the Dramatic Interpretation section of the local Forensics tournament in Washington, D.C.
